A Saudi Arabian communication satellite (and two other satellites) are launched in space by United States space shuttle Discovery on mission STS-51G. An Arabic news bulletin anchor, speaking in English, introduces the event. He then tries to interview first Saudi Arabian space flier Prince Sultan Salman bin Al Saud through video conferencing. Sultan Salman of Saudi Arabia, in United States space shuttle Discovery, is visible on a TV monitor in the background. During delays while attempting to make voice contact with Prince Saud, the news anchor, now speaking in Arabic, reports about the space flight in Discovery. Finally, radio contact is made, and the anchor is able to converse with Prince Saud about his experience.
